From the Kernsville PTO
- Planning Ahead - The PTO is proud to host functions like the Holiday Jubilee, a great event that brings
joy to our children and community through pictures with Santa, a Secret Santa Shop, crafts, food, and
fun. However, this tradition, like all PTO activities, is entirely planned and run by volunteers—and our
volunteer base currently consists of just a handful of dedicated parents and caregivers. Without
additional adult support, we simply cannot continue to make events like the Holiday Jubilee happen.
As we look ahead to the next school year, we need to share an important update: the Holiday Jubilee
will not take place next year unless we have at least one volunteer step forward to serve as the event
chairperson by August 1.
The event chairperson role involves coordinating volunteers and planning the activities—while bringing
your own creativity and personal touch to the event. It is not a job you are expected to do alone. We’re
here to support you with the resources, guidance, and help you need, but this would be your
opportunity to shape the Jubilee (or any type of holiday celebration) in your way!
We know how much this event means to our families, and we hope to keep the tradition alive. However,
without someone leading the charge, it won’t be possible to hold the Jubilee next year. If you’re
interested in stepping into this role or learning more about what’s involved, please reach out to us
at president@kernsvillepto.org. Thank you for being such a vital part of our school community. Your
support and involvement are what make these moments possible! -
