PSSA Testing Dates for 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade:

• English Language Arts: April 20^th, 21^st and 22^nd
• Math: April 27^th & 28^th
• Science: April 29^th & April 30^th (5th Grade only)

PSSA testing will be online this year.  Please make sure your child charges their chromebook each night.

Testing begins first thing in the morning so please make every effort to have your child at school on time.

Kernsville is excited to have Literati Book Fair coming to our school on Monday, April 20th through Thursday, April 24th.  A book fair flyer and information sheet will be coming home soon, but for now please visit this link to set up your Digital Gift Card if you would like your child to have a cashless shopping experience.  This will be used just like a store gift card and if they don’t spend it all, you may use it at the next book fair or reload it for the next fair.

Weather Make-Up Day Notification

Dear Parkland Families,

With the shift toward warmer weather, the District Administration has completed its evaluation of the 2025-2026 academic calendar regarding necessary make-up days for previous inclement weather. To ensure a definitive schedule, we intentionally delayed this announcement until the primary winter season had passed.

Please be advised that Parkland School District will be open for in-person instruction on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

This date is being utilized as a formal make-up day for the traditional "snow day" that occurred on January 26, 2026.

This event will be part of the 4th Annual Community Resource Fair, taking place March 14, from 9 AM - 12 Noon at Parkland High School. Social service agencies, nonprofits, community partners, and recreational organizations will showcase their services and parent workshops will be offered.  Click here to register to attend the New Parkland Parent Social.  Also on site that day will be the Music Boosters who will be collecting used clothing and toys. This event was made possible with a grant from the Parkland Education Foundation.
